Friday, Sept 5, 2008 @ Howey's on 71

That's right...back at Howey's and having a blast!

I'm still building the 'following' back up so it's a great time to come on by (while the rotation is still fairly fast)!

This Friday, Sept 12, Howey's is having live bands perform (normally bands are scheduled on Saturdays but there were some scheduling conflicts so you can stop by and enjoy some great music both tonight and tomorrow night!).

Next week we're back to karaoke. I won't be able to make it due to prior commitments (a wedding reception) but my good friend and awesome karaoke host, Charlie Caron of Kapt. Karaoke will be ensuring everyone has a great time. Don't miss it.

Last Friday was a lot of fun.

Everybody's buddy, Michael starting things off with "Piano Man." His other selections included "Mack the Knife", "I Cross My Heart", "Wonderful Tonight", and "Hey Good Lookin."

I was delighted to see Dan and Shelley arrive with discs in hand, ready to sing and party with us all night long! Dan started with "The Way", later singing "Do You Know What I Mean", "Walking in Memphis", and "Keep On Smilin". Dude! Great memories with those tunes!

Shelley sang "Strawberry Wine", Journey's "Lights", "Leave the Pieces", "I'm The Only One", "Heaven, Heartache, and Power of Love", and "What About Love". Awesome (as always)!

She was joined by Dan for "When Will I Be Loved". Great harmonies. Always a pleasure to hear you two together.

Lisa H got us dancing with "Last Dance" and later sang "I Can't Make You Love Me", "Bring Me To Life", and "Holding Out for a Hero". Way to rock and groove us.

Michelle brought us some Southern fried cooking with "Fancy" and "Friends in Low Places", then rocked out on "Black Velvet". Nicely done.

Scott (and his table of friends) had fun all night long and joined us for Michael Jackson's "Bad", T-Pain's "Buy You a Drank", Mellencamp's "Jack & Diane, and finally, Green Day's "Time of Your Life". What a party!

Makenzie and gang rocked "Bohemian Rhapsody", then went solo on "Ordinary People". Great job.

Allison brought the gang up for "Sweet Caroline" and Justin lead the group with "Baby Got Back".

Everyone agreed, it was a really fun night. Even the staff enjoyed it. Speaking of which, shout outs to Dana, Chris and the entire staff at Howey's for everythng they do to make this place ROCK! Y'all are the best!

Till next time...

Keep Smilin'
